About the event: The Dak’art Biennale is the largest Contemporary African Art exhibit in the world that showcases the work of African artists from different countries within the continent and the diaspora. This year’s Dak’art Biennale will be the 15th Edition.

7-Day TELLS TRIPS Itinerary: (Tentative)

MONDAY 13th May 2024: Welcome Brunch and City Tour

On the first day, all guests will be welcomed with a Senegalese group brunch before we head to the city tour to find out more about the city of Dakar. We will visit the African Renaissance Monument, historical architecture, and more.

TUESDAY 14th May 2024: Adventure Day - More of Dakar

We will visit the residence of Senegal's first president, the late Léopold Sédar Senghor. We will then make our way to Dakar-Plateau (a.k.a 'en Ville' - downtown) as we make our way to visit the beach for some R&R.

WEDNESDAY 15th May 2024: Gorée Island

Today we will visit the UNESCO Heritage Site, Goree Island. Gorée is a tiny, car-free island off the coast of Dakar, in Senegal. It’s known for its role in the 15th- to the 19th-century Atlantic slave trade.

THURSDAY 16th May 2024: Day of Rest/ Opening of the Dak’art Biennale.

Today is the opening of The Dak’art Biennale. The day is also yours to rest, shop, and do as you please.

FRIDAY 17th May 2024: A day trip to Saly

On this day we leave the city of Dakar to explore Saly and to visit the zoo, Bandia Reserve.

SATURDAY 18th May 2024: Dak’art Biennale

We will participate in a cooking workshop in the morning. Immerse ourselves fully into the Dak’art Biennale in the afternoon. In the evening we will go out for dinner and experience Senegalese nightlife.

SUNDAY 19th February 2024: Farewell brunch at the Phare des Mamelles

On our last day, we will have a farewell lunch at The Lighthouse. After lunch, we will do the lighthouse tour before exploring the rest of the Biennale events.

Fee: $150-200 per day pass.

  2. FRIDAY 17th May 2024: A day trip to Saly

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  1. Deposits are non-refundable.

  2. 2. Cancellation by guest: Any trip cancellation requests must be received in writing at tellstrips@gmail.com

  3. Cancellation must be communicated at least 10 weeks before the departure date.

  4. You can pay for the trip in full or in a payment plan. The dates will be emailed after booking your deposit. However, if you’d like to arrange a custom plan for your preferred dates, please email us after booking at tellstrips@gmail.com.

  5. These prices are based on shared double occupancy. If you would like a single occupancy during your stay, please contact us at tellstrips@gmail.com before booking to learn more about the additional fee.

  6. Please check your visa eligibility before booking.

  7. If you have any dietary restrictions, please send us an email after booking.
